It takes me forever to do my hair. The boys need attention. Here is me doing both.

My hair is almost waist length. I have layers, but the very back is at the longest its ever been. I am heading down the path of juju medicine woman. Gonna need a trim soon. Love my locs, but I don’t think obiah woman stylee is my thing.

I’ve fallen terribly behind in my photos. So I’m gonna just forgive my self and post a few today. I am finding new life in my hair. Now that I am finding new ways to style it, I’m no longer itching to cut them off. Here are photos of the process of doing my hair this weekend. I washed it then did palm roll maintenance. As I rolled 3 dreads, I braided them and put them into bantu knots. I wore them in the knots out that night. They were pretty cute. but I couldn’t sleep in them too well so today I took the out and I have large curls. In a week or so, or when I lose some of the curls, I will unbraid them and have them crinkly. Three styles in one! yay me!

Went to Axel F. Toni and I pre-gamed at her apartment and then at Ben’s Next Door. The party was fabulous. Good music, good folks, and Dark and Stormys. This is a photo of us at Next Door. We are some pretty photogenic blountches!

I didn’t go to rehearsal friday. It’s all becoming too much. Saturday morning I spoke with the director. I’m not going to be in this production. It was a weight completely lifted. I felt myslef becoming anxious about all the time I needed away from the boys, my job, and other things I wanted to do (stand-up, studying for my principal’s exam, my hair!!!) So here’s to good, but difficult decisions.
Since I had time, I washed, twisted, and braided my hair. I’m gonna do a braid out, like you loose naturals do. This was my first time trying it. It made me feel like Da Brat before she went into the pen.
